At least one parent or guardian must be present for each family. We are not a daycare, and we are strangers to your child. Do not teach them to blindly trust random strangers.
What Kids Build
Stomp Rocket
Air Powered · No Fire
A paper rocket with fins and a nose cone that kids build and decorate themselves, then launch by stomping on a soda bottle. They fly it again and again, and test what makes a rocket fly straight.
Model Rocket
Real Motor · Streamer Recovery
A real model rocket with laser-cut fins, built over one session and launched the next weekend on a small rocket motor. Kids of any age can build one with their parent working alongside them, and an adult always handles the motor and launch controller. Students learn the science of stability and recovery, and check their own rocket's balance before it flies.
Can't Make It? Build at Home.
Our free at-home kit has step-by-step plans and printable templates made from things you already have around the house.
- 🦶 Stomp Rocket (ages 6 and up): no fire, no motors, fly it all day.
- 🚀 Tube Rocket and Folder Glider (any age with a grown-up helping): build the rocket at home, then bring it to one of our launch days and we'll launch it for you.
Print templates at 100% (Actual size), not "Fit to page."
Safety on Launch Day
- Only trained adults handle rocket motors and run the launch controller.
- Everyone wears safety glasses and stays well back from the launch pad.
- We only launch in open fields, in calm weather, away from trees and power lines.
- Our launches follow the National Association of Rocketry's Model Rocket Safety Code.
